Best Fudgey Chocolate Cake

I made this for my daughter’s birthday, and it was delicious. Here is the recipe: 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 and 3/4 cup of flour, 1 tsp. salt, 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 1 and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, and 1 and 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Blend together.

Add 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla extract, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup milk. Mix together. Then add 1 cup boiling water to mixture. Blend well. It will be thin. Grease and flour 2 nine- inch cake pans. Pour cake batter evenly into each pan. Bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes. Cool completely on wire racks before frosting. I put strawberry frosting on top of one layer, then added raspberry jelly in center of that before topping it with other layer of cake. Frost with chocolate fudge frosting. This will be a moist cake and the jelly adds to the texture.
