Shame on Goodwill

When did thrift store employees become too arrogant to take second hand items? Wasn’t Goodwill intended for the people with low incomes to be able to purchase furniture at a price that they could afford? Why are thrift stores such as Goodwill and others snubbing their noses at perfectly good items because there might be a small scratch?

Rather than having a yard sale, I have always given things to Goodwill or St. Vincent, items that I no longer need or want. I don’t bring broken items. My husband and I have been downsizing our things. I find it offensive for thrift stores to act like this way. Where is the compassion of giving to others in need?

Have we forgotten the teachings of Christ? After all this is Sunday. I was naked and you gave me your coat
