Applesauce Bread

20180217_123441 applesauce bread I made this bread and decided to share it. Here is the recipe. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 2 small loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan. Set aside. You will need these ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. maple extract
  • 3 T. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. chopped dried dates

In a large bowl, add the oil, eggs, maple extract, milk, and sugars. Mix well. Add the spices and dry ingredients. Blend well. Add the applesauce, dates, and raisins. Stir until blended. Divide dough into 2 small loaf pans or 1 large pan. Bake for 45 minutes for smaller loaves or 1 hour for large loaf. Cool on a rack.
