Toxic Foods for Pets

According to the ASPCA Poison control, these are foods that should be restricted due to toxicity for pets:

  • avocado
  • chocolate
  • garlic & onions
  • raisins
  • grapes
  • milk
  • nuts of any kind
  • mushrooms
  • raw potatoes
  • rhubarb
  • tea
  • coffee
  • alcohol

  1. I’ve known about chocolate for years, but milk strikes me as a bit strange as cats have been treated to cream or milk for decades throughout our countryside . . .? Really? Poisonous?

  2. I understand what you are saying, but it’s the ASPCA that has listed milk as one of the things toxic to pets. I’ve heard from my vet. that if you give milk to your cat, it should be limited amounts and not often.
