Here is a project I tried with my preschoolers. You will need a clear ball ornament, preferably plastic. Have 2 different colors of acrylic or enamel paint. JoAnne’s usually has a good sale on them this time of year. Prepare a work area by putting down old newspapers. Place the ornament in a plastic or paper bowl. Remove the top. Have the child squeeze a good portion of paint inside the ornament. Add the next color. Have the child swirl the paint around until it covers the whole area inside. Do not shake or paint will go everywhere. If you have the time, allow the paint to dry inside the ornament while it’s in the bowl. Apply the top and it’s ready for hanging.
