Did you know the Tulalip tribes gave 2 million dollars for research to the Stanford University for studies using pot for treatments? One study involves using THC and CBD to treat heroin and opioid addiction. In my opinion, it sounds like trading one addiction for another. The other study is aimed at Alzheimer’s. Really? It’s a known fact that smoking marijuana, there is some forgetfulness. Alzheimer’s already has memory issues.
The tests are being used on mice. The university is injecting the mice with 28.4 % THC and 1.4 % CBD from cannabis oil. The researchers dose the rodents through an implanted pump, injection, or oral dosing. They are hoping on understanding the pathways responsible for the efficacy observed in their studies.
